Farmers Bank of Bucks County
Bristol, Pennsylvania
Relief note issue of 1841 which was
issued to
maintain credit of the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania.
All notes of this issue were reportedly
redeemed and
cancelled. They were unknown to collectors until
discovered in 1997. Only the $1 and $2 denominations
were apparently issued although the $5
note exists
as a proof. Nova Online has examined 99%+ of
these notes if not all of them -- all
notes have been
cancelled and the highest grade examined
is a Fine.
These notes were found damp-stained in
tied
cancelled bundles of mixed $1 and $2
notes totalling $100.
We are pleased to offer these notes to
our
customers as follows:
1841 $1 PA-185 G50
VG cancelled
1841 $2 PA-185 G52
