We buy American Continental Currency and Colonial notes in all grades and conditions; unfortunately, due to the large number of different issues and the variations within each issue, it is impractical to list even approximate buy prices; therefore, we have only listed buy price ranges for the commonest notes grading
VG, F, and VF. Please click on the grades listed for a description. We can only give rough parameters. Please E-MAIL US with descriptions and a high-quality scan (or FAX/Snail Mail with good photocopy) should you desire approximate quotes on notes not listed below.Please examine the scan below. It is of a commonly-found REPLICA. Notes which are printed/lithographed/copied on material of this type (yellowed/brown crinkly stiff) which give the appearance of artificial age are WORTHLESS.
Note that the signatures and serial number are printed and not hand-written. They are uniformly black. Genuine handwritten numbers and signatures are of different colors than the printed portions of the note.
Note also that portions of the back of the note can be seen through the material. Genuine notes are printed on thick paper (except for certain issues) and are not translucent. The paper will have the consistency of an ink blotter and not stiff.
There are also replicas and copies on other types of material which closely resemble genuine notes. These also will have no value; however, there are also contemporary circulating counterfeits of genuine notes which have value and which we buy on a regular basis.
